Listed below are a few of the properties restored or developed by Desco Associates, Inc.
  • 44-54 Church Street, Waverley Square, Belmont, MA (click to view)
The Waverley Crossing site, built in 1851, was once a town meeting hall, and in 1998, it was completely rehabbed by Desco Associates, Inc. It is also, now, on the Waverley Oaks foot path and blocks away from the famous Waverley Oaks at Beaver Brook Reservation. This renovation was recognized by the Belmont –Watertown Chamber of Commerce as “The most notable redevelopment of a commercial property.” In the Belmont Historical Society’s 2004 edition of Then & Now, it was stated, “The recent refurbishment has greatly improved the appearance of the building without appreciable change.”
  • 448 Common Street, Belmont, MA (click to view)
This location is the previous home of the Masonic Temple and the Conrad Chandler retail clothing store. Desco Associates, Inc. acquired this property and from 1999 to 2000 began a total renovation of the building. Both buyer and seller agreed that developing this property could pave the way for the revitalization of Cushing Square. The current tenants are Fred Astaire Dance Studio and The Spirited Gourmet.
